Krystyna Wróblewska (graphic designer)


Krystyna Wróblewska (born 1904, died 1994) is a Vilnius-Kraków graphic artist, wife of the rector of the Vilnius University, Bronisław Wróblewski, mother of George and Andrew. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Stefan Batory University, where she studied under the supervision of Ludomir Sleńdziński and Jerzy Hoppen (diploma in 1937). She belonged to the Vilnius Group. Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Composers' Union.

After 1945, he was associated with Cracow, taking active artistic and pedagogical activities there. among others as lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology and chair of the Nine Grafik Group (1947-1960). The artistic path of the artist was mainly connected with the traditions of classicism, realism and expressionism and woodcut technique. It has also embellished exlibris in the world.
