Tadeusz Włodek


Tadeusz Wlodek - chamberlain of King Stanislaw August Poniatowski, juggernaut Jakob Sievers and Osip Igelström, censor of plays.

As a member of the Resurrection of the Perpetual Council, he proposed the April 30, 1793 edition of the parliamentary demands of the Sejm. At the Grodno Sejm, he supported the partition treaty with Prussia. He was a member of the Grodno Confederacy in 1793. Appointed to the police, he was granted a press privilege by the king and published a national newspaper in Warsaw. He was an agent of the secret Russian spy network in Warsaw, in the period preceding the outbreak of the Kosciuszko Uprising. After the outbreak of Kosciuszko insurrection fled from the capital.
