Marobudum
Marobudum - the capital of the Markomian state of King Marbod, established in the area of the Czech Basin and functioning at the turn of the 1st century BC. and 1st century n.e.
Marbod established his country after the Markomar resettlement east of their original headquarters on the river Men in the great deportation action in l9-6 p.n. and subordinate the surrounding tribes by diplomatic or military means. The Markomians themselves occupied the Czech Basin, the present areas of Bohemia and Moravia, where the ruler established his capital. Its exact location is unknown until today. We know what Tacitus is referring to in the capital of Marbella: a factor operating in the area of the state of Marxist-Roman merchants, whose "trade liberty, then the desire to increase wealth," and finally the oblivion of the homeland from its own premises to the enemy's country, were transferred "(Roczniki, II 62 ).
Marobudum was destroyed in 19 n.e. As a result of the invasion of Markoman usurper Katualdy, who drove Marboda out of the throne and took over the government. Bibliography
