Maurice, Prince of the Netherlands, was the head of the Netherlands, Wilhelm Fryderyk Maurycy Alexander Henryk Karol (born September 15, 1843 in The Hague, June 4, 1850 in The Hague) - Prince of the Netherlands and Orange-Nassau.

The second son of William III, the King of the Netherlands, and his first wife, Queen Sophia, from the princesses of Württemberg. He had two brothers and they were the princes of Orania, the successors to the throne of the Netherlands - Wilhelm and Alexander. His step-sister, who was born after his death, was the future Queen of Wilhelmina.
