Sweet kings
Les rois fainéants - the term used in relation to the last kings of the Franconian state of the Merovingian dynasty. As a result of the bottom-up spread of unity, they lost real power. The progressive degeneration of the dynasty was conducive to this process - the Merovingians often did not live in age, dying young.
The years of reigning kings are assumed to be between 639 and 751 years. It opens with the coronation of Sigeberta III, and ends with the detachment of Childery III. Most of the kings of that period were weak. The royal domain at that time was greatly reduced, and all the prerogatives of the monarch, along with the military and judicial powers, were taken over by the aristocracy. The first unsuccessful attempt to dethrone the merciful, kingly king, was made in 656 by the Austro-Hungarian masters Grimoald I. The unity of the country was preserved by Pepin II of Heristra, who since 687 ruled as the masters of the whole of the Franks, giving rise to the informal rulers of the Franks. Since the year 737, the strength of the mayor of Karol Hamot was so great that he ruled in spite of the casualties. In 751 the Carolingian dynasty was legalized by Pope Zacharias. Simultaneously the throne was devoid of the last meridian king Childeryk III, which was closed in the monastery. Gaining the tonsure, he was stripped of the last attribute of the Frankish king, or long hair, in which, according to his belief, magical power was hidden. Some stupid kings
