Swine porcine
Ascaris suum - a parasitic nematode in the small intestine of the pig. Developmental cycle adequate to the cycle of human worm. Cycle takes about 2 months. The female produces about 200 thousand. Eggs per day, which are excreted together with the faeces of the host.
Glisten is a disease caused by worms, which are most common in young animals (3 to 9 months), although they are also found in adult pigs, which, however, are more resistant to invasive parasites. Pigs are infected with worms and contaminated with eggs. From these eggs in the small intestine the hatchlings hatch, which pierce the wall of the intestine, getting into the blood. With blood going to the lungs, from where the trachea enters the larynx and the mouth, then along with food or saliva are swallowed again and migrate to the small intestine, where they transform into adult worms and lay eggs. Within 24 hours each female can deposit about 100,000 eggs which the animal under the invasion expels from the body along with the faeces. After 15-20 days eggs mature and become capable of infection
