<43> Foo - asteroid belt asteroid circling the Sun in 5 years and 204 days in the average distance of 3.14 Jupiter. She was discovered on September 2, 1983 at the European Southern Observatory by Henri Debehogne. The name of the asteroid comes from Lillian Foo (born 1972), who is a consultant to the World Bank supporting radio programs in Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Previously she was a photojournalist for The Straits Times in Singapore. T. H. Burbine suggested. Prior to the official name, the asteroid was designated 1983 RO3.
