Detleff Nebbe
Detleff Nebbe (born June 20, 1912 in Huson, Germany) is a Nazi criminal, member of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp and SS-Hauptscharführer. Curriculum vitae
He completed 7 classes of elementary school, and the profession was a trader. On September 15, 1939, Nebbe was appointed to the Waffen SS, and on October 15, 1940, he was assigned to the Auschwitz concentration camp where he remained until April 1944. In the camp From February 1941 he served as a sergeant in a guard company. He was known as a National Socialist doctrinaire and a zealous servant. This was manifested, on the one hand, in the fact that he held firmly in the confidence of the SS men in his company, spreading terror among them. On the other hand he treated the prisoners cruelly, often beating them and insulting them. In this way he gave examples to other SS men as to how to behave towards prisoners. For his fervent service he was awarded the Cross of Merit of the Second Class with swords.
After the war, Nebbe was tried by the Supreme Court of Cracow in the first Auschwitz trial. For his part in the crimes committed in the camp he was sentenced to life imprisonment on December 22, 1947. The prison was abandoned by amnesty in the 1950s. Bibliography
