Erik Otto Larsen (born 26 November 1931 in Hvidovre, died January 2008) is a Danish painter, graphic designer and writer. As a painter Larsen debuted in 1965 at the annual autumn exhibition of Danish painting (Danish Kunstnernes EfterÄrsudstilling). In 1988 he published his first book, a crime novel titled " Pondus sidste sag. One of his novels, titled Masken and the Spade, was awarded the Glass Key Award in 1995 by members of the Scandinavian Criminal Association for the best crime novel.

In 1994, Danmarks Radio, based on the novel Manden der holdt op com at smile, filmed a four-part crime television series titled Frihedens skygge. Creation Awards Authoritative control (person):
