Galician massif
The Galician massif (Galicia, Spain, Macizo Galaico) is a mountain system in Galicia and the border region of Zamora and León Province, Spain.
It is made of paleozoic rocks (granites), very metamorphic in the center and in the west of Galicia (eg gneiss). It is a geomorphological extension of the Iberian Mesopotamia to the north-west. Its sculpture, with an average height of 500 meters, is very complex due to the lack of specific mountain chains and increased river erosion, which results in fragmentation of the forest.
