Jurajska GOPR Group

Jurajska GOPR Group is the youngest of the GOPR regional groups, established in 1998. The area of activity of the group is Jura Krakowsko-Czestochowa. History

The history of organized rescue at Jura started practically in 1993, when it was founded in Leszno (PZA camp) in Podlesice. Seasonal Rescue Station of the Beskid GOPR Group.

Due to the lack of support and the provision of specialist equipment (taking into account the specific terrain) of the Beskidzka Group authorities, Jurassic Volunteer Emergency Service was established in 1996.

The hardware situation improved, the number of rescuers rose, but as a small association JOPR began to exhaust its opportunities for further development, so after many discussions and discussions with GOPR Board Members it was decided to create a new, seventh regional group of GOPR. By decision of the 6th Congress of GOPR delegates, the Jurassic Group of the Mountain Voluntary Rescue Service was established on November 21, 1998.
