Lajos - in Greek mythology King Teb, son of Labdakos, husband of Jokes and father of Oedipus.
Lajos drew a curse on the family. He once visited King Pelops and seduced his son. But when he abandoned him, the boy committed suicide. The Delphine oracle told Lajos that the Jocast boy would be his killer and marry his own mother. When Jokasta had named the boy, who was later named Oedipus, Lajos ordered him to pierce his son's nail and leave him in the mountains near Corinth. Oedipus brought up a royal couple from Corinth - Polibos and Meropa. The prophecy was fulfilled when Oedipus encountered Lajos on his way and quarreled his father.
Another myth relates to Lajos, as the first Greek pedoist, who had passion for Chrysippos (14 years) - Pelops and Hippodamei, kidnapped him and forced him into bodily contact, then left him in the wilderness. Hera, wanting to punish Lajos, sent her to the Sphinx, devouring people who could not solve his riddle.
