Teofil Kaczorowski


Teofil Kaczorowski (born August 11, 1830, died March 31, 1889) is a Polish internist physician.

He lived in Poznan. From 1865 to over 20 years he was the head of the internal medicine department of the Transplant Hospital, where he conducted scientific-medical research. He first formulated the theory of infection by the bad teeth. This theory was confirmed 20 years later by English scholars. He was one of the initiators of treating tuberculosis in a sanatorium. Teofil Kaczorowski is the author of 92 scientific publications. Bibliography
