Dworcowa ballada - a 2002 film that was the original version of the film "The Leningrad Children" a year later. The film was nominated for an Oscar in 2005.
The film is a documentary of the daily lives of Russian street children. The camera looks at small fugitives from children's homes, vegetarians at Moscow stations and metro stations. History of the film
"Dworcowa ballada" was performed by Andrzej CeliĆski at the order of Hanna Polak, a charity organization "Active Child Aid". The pictures were made by nine operators and lasted more than two years. Approximately half of the shots were made by filming a hidden camera. The film crew was detained several times at the police station "Basmannyj", where the material recorded with the efforts of Russian, Polish and German operators was carefully erased. It was filmed on garbage, attics, engine rooms, lifts, canals, train stations, tunnels, underground passages, subway stations, trains, trams, ruins of houses - wherever the heroes live. Bibliography
