Elliott Landy
Elliott Landy (born in 1942) is an American photographer, best known for shooting rock music. He was the official photographer of the Woodstock Festival in 1969. His photographs appeared on the cover of such newspapers as Rolling Stone, Life and the Saturday Evening Post. His photographs also included covers of many albums, among others. Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and The Band.
From 1967 to 1969 Landy photographed Janis Joplin, Jim Hendriks and Jim Morrison, going along with them on every trip. He also published several books, including a collection of his photographs. Landy has been living in Woodstock since the mid-sixties. Authoritative control (person):
