Geomag

Geomag dodecahedron cut. Geomag is a magnetic brick manufactured by the Swiss company GEOMAG SA since 1998. This toy consists mainly of nickel-plated balls (12.7 mm in diameter) and plastic rods, inside which are two neodymium magnets located at the ends of the rod and connected by a metal needle. By combining these two elements you can build a lot of different geometric figures and other 2D and 3D structures. An additional element of the toy is the panels used to stiffen the structure.

Structures are created by pulling a ball through a magnet inside the rod. The strength of this attraction is about 4 N.

With the ability to easily build and dismantle buildings, Geomag can be used by children as an imaginative and adult toy to quickly showcase different designs and models. Geomag is used to learn math, physics, chemistry and develops children's creativity. Unlike other types of toys, Geomag is more durable and less likely to be swallowed by young children.

In 2005 Geomag was named Toy of the Year by the Toy Industry Association. Available designs
