Nagar - a former Muslim duchy located in present-day Pakistan. Nagar covered an area of ​​5,000 km², with Nagar's capital.

The Principality was established in the 14th century in the northwestern part of modern Kashmir. In 1889 the British adopted a protectorate. In 1947 he was part of Kashmir, which was occupied by Pakistan, where he obtained the status of autonomous duchy.

In 1968, a rebellion against the monarchy took place in Nagar. On September 25, 1974, Pakistan's Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto decided to liquidate the Nagar state.
