Revenue Commission of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania
The Grand Duchy of Lithuania's Taxation Commission - Governmental Administration of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Republic of Poland was established on 1 January 1765 as a result of the provisions of the Convocation Sejm.
As a collegial body, the responsibility of the Sejm was taken over by the subcommittees of the great Lithuanian and Lithuanian court, who retained only the privilege of presiding over her work. She has gained extensive competences in the fields of industry, trade and communication and treasury justice. It consisted of 16 (later 9) members elected by the Diet, obliged to submit annual reports of their activities.
Since 1775 it was subordinated to the Treasury Department of the Perpetual Council. The four-year Sejm joined it on October 28, 1791, with the Crown Treasury's Commission on the Internal Revenue Commission of the Two Nations. August 31, 1792 the Targowice confederation re-commenced the commission. Bibliography
