SWEPOS - is a Swedish permanent network consisting of GPS stations. SWEPOS's mission is to collect data from GPS satellites and use them for a variety of purposes: real-time positioning with metric accuracy, navigational purposes, geographic data bases, millimeter earth observations. Construction of the SWEPOS network station
At the stations, the receivers are placed on high concrete columns, placed on a solid foundation to ensure the best possible connection between the antenna and the satellites. The temperature of the concrete columns is maintained at 15 degrees Celsius, to minimize the effects of thermal expansion of the materials. All stations are equipped with Dorne Margolin antennas (antennas used in places with high temperature fluctuations) that are covered by hemispherical domes (snow protection). Each station is equipped with batteries which, in the event of a power failure, are capable of providing the receiver with a continuous operation for 48 hours. Post-processing procedure used in the SWEPOS network
The user logs data for future development at SWEPOS based on data. The data provided by the user for post - processing is automatically calculated using the "Bernese GPS" software. The data provided for the calculation must come from the static measurement of the two-frequency receiver and have the format RINEX. The processed data (coordinates) of SWEPOS is sent to the user's email. The results of the work can also be found on the website.
