The Yes Men

Yes Men - a group of "culture jamming" activists, they call themselves "identity correction" by pretending to be important decision-makers and spokespeople of relevant organizations. They create and maintain fake sites similar to those they want to parody, and then accept the invitations they receive to appear at conferences, symposia, and television shows. They represent their point of view at the often dehumanizing actions of corporations and government agencies. Their main method is satire: pretending to be corporate or government representatives, they often express themselves in a very controversial way about employees and consumers, then pointing out the lack of shock or anger at their joke when no one observes that the "reactionary" rhetoric was merely joke. Their method in such cases is a kind of "reductio ad absurdum", that is, to derive consistent and absurd and outrageous conclusions from the actions of corporations and governments of different states. Hence their English name: "yes-meni", "nipples"; Their tactics are not controversial, but paradoxically - "embarrassment". However, sometimes the press representatives, based on the Yes Men, make statements that are a dream come true for alter-elasticist and anti-corporate crimes. As a result, there were misrepresentations about the solution of the World Trade Organization or of the Dow Chemical Corporation pays for the cleanup after the Union Carbide disaster.

Yes Meni have served as spokespersons for the World Trade Organization, McDonald's, Dow Chemical and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. Two more famous Yes Men are known under a number of nicknames, most recently in the 2003 film, as Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno. Their real names are Jacques Servin and Igor Vamos, respectively. Vamos is an adjunct professor of media arts at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. However, the Yes Men group creates many people from all over the globe. Their experiences have been documented in The Yes Men, Info Wars documentary and The Yes Men: The True Story of the End of the World Trade Organization. In 2009 Yes Meni filmed the Yes-Meni film to remake the world, which premiered in Poland on November 20, 2009, and in 2014, The Yes Men Are Revolting. Activity Jacques Servin and Igor Vamos run the Yes Lab, which aims to help other organizations implement social initiatives and ActionSwitchboard.net, which helps individual activists organize similar actions.
