Wall (geomorphology)

Mountain wall - usually steep, very steep (cliff), vertical or even overturned (oled) rocky or glacial mountain slope o as a uniform exhibit, one of the largest terrain formations recognized in climbing. The mountain wall can be many hundreds of meters high, but the climbers of this name also describe much smaller, less than ten meters of rock or shoal.

For climbing mountaineers, artificial climbing walls are being prepared. It all depends on the qualification of the climber and the difficulty of acquiring it. The conditions of climbing on natural walls depend on the type of substrate and the steepness, also on their orientation to the sun, exposure to the wind and the seasons. Most often on one wall can be identified several climbing routes. The road closest to the straight line from the base of the wall to the top of the summit is called direttissima (the simplest one).

In the Tatra Mountains, the northern wall of the Little Kežmarok Peak (the height of about 900 m) is the highest.
