HDB2

High density bipolar code (HDB2) - one of the transmission and pseudorandom codes. The HDB-2 has the features needed to perform the transmission despite the constraints imposed by the transmission channel and its associated equipment. This code has three code states despite the fact that the information signal has only two states. In addition, it also contains linear elements whose duration is half the characteristic period T. Three levels make the signal has convenient spectral properties, reducing the level of interference and improving the transmission range and quality. Frequent changes in the signal state (even if the signal state remains unchanged) provide good synchronization properties. Signal properties: The code converts element "1" to positive and negative pulses alternately, and element "0" to zero signal level unless there is a zero sequence of length greater than two. Lake morphometry

Morphometric characteristics of lakes - quantitative representation of the shape and size of the lake and the amount of water filling it. The determination of the morphometric indices is based on two sources: an accurate topographic map and a bathymetric map of the lake. The bottom of the mixing zone is referred to as the "active bottom", because of its much greater interaction with the water masses, and strong waves are important for littoral vegetation. The shape of the tanks can be very varied: it is sometimes difficult to decide whether we are dealing with one lake with many "plots" (ie parts that are more or less separated from the rest of the reservoir) or with several (or many) tanks connected to each other. > Elements characterizing the external dimensions of the lake Bibliography wiki

Coordination number

The coordination number in chemistry is mainly related to complex compounds and organometallic compounds and is defined in three different ways: Coordinate number is the size that determines whether a given complex is able to accept any additional ligands or if its coordination sphere is already full. Nowadays, however, because of the difficulty in fixing this number for many complex complexes, it is a departure from the notion of accurately calculating the number of electrons that make up the bonding system of a given compound. From the definitions given above, the first two are officially recognized by the IUPAC terminology committee, and the third, although formally unrecognized, is often used especially in organometallic chemistry. The first of these definitions ignores the fact that multiple bonds may occur between atomic metal and ligand atoms. When a ligand connects to a metal, it actually "blocks" more real co-ordinates than is apparent from this definition. The

Protoemium - Late Latin prefix or adjective, for example, to a dissertation, a code, a law, litany, etc. Until today, it is used in legal and church publications. In rhetoric the term "protoemium" (also exordium) is the first of the five parts of a compositional scheme of speech. Protoemium is an introduction to speech intended to win the favor of the audience and to familiarize them with the subject. According to many ancient rhetoric, the last of the five parts of speech, percussion, should be the substantive repetition of the proto. The first and the last part of the speech must be stylistically different - the prose is kept in a matter-of-fact and calm style, and the percussion should have a strong emotional impact on the listener. This rule was not strictly followed - for example, the beginning of the Cicerona Cylinder is maintained in the tone of spontaneous indignation. Bibliography wiki

Lender of last resort

Lender of last resort - a central bank that lends to a commercial bank the financing of a secured commercial debt (usually bills or government bonds) in connection with the outflow of commercial bank deposits. This is an important function of the central bank from the point of view of people entrusting their savings to banks. In order to secure its current operation, the commercial bank acquires funds from other banks in the interbank market. In situations where financial institutions do not trust, banks using this funding may have trouble getting funds. In the event of a sudden outflow of the deposit, the commercial bank is unable to obtain cash to pay out to all customers waiting for them. This is also due to the fact that it can not quickly recover funds from granted loans. The central bank in this situation lends money to banks. Bibliography wiki
Elkites, Elkadians, Elkeys - an ancient syncretistic sect derived from the Ebionites and deriving from Gnostic ideas, existing between the 2nd and 5th century. The founder of the group was living in Trajan's time (at the turn of the 1st and 2nd centuries) on the Syrian-Parthian border of Elkaza (according to sources: Elchasaí, Elksaí, Elkesaïtaí). It is certain that such a figure existed, but its name may be symbolic and secondary to the name of the group he founded, because the term Elkazaic could also refer directly to the Essenic sphere called the Sons of the Mysterious Force (→ Ebion). Elkazai claimed that the Son of God was manifested in the form of a huge angel, who gave him the Holy Book. This angel was accompanied by the second, who was also the sister of the first and the Holy Spirit. The elkhazite apocrypha has not survived, and the main sources of knowledge about the group's views remain the information contained in the Epiphanius writings of Salamina and Origen.

Copernicus' turn

The Copernican Revolution - a change of world view, customs and political, religious or philosophical implications associated with the publication by Nicolaus Copernicus of De revolutionibus orbium coelestium (1543). The work undermined the medieval view of the real estate of the Earth, introducing a new, heliocentric cosmological model: a model of the solar system in which the Earth orbits the Sun. The indirect result of the proclamation of such a thesis was the acceptance in science and philosophy of the Copernican Principle, in which the situation of the Earth in the universe is not distinguished in any way. This principle had far-reaching cognitive consequences in the process of assimilation by modern science, whose origins are precisely related to the described breakthrough, led to significant changes in the way we think about the world, its relationship to man and religion. European Space Research Organization (ESRO) - a space and space research organization established in 1964-1975, established by eight Western European countries. In 1958, Edoardo Amaldi and Pierre Auger discussed the common Western European space agency. The debate was attended by representatives from eight countries. It was decided to create two joint agencies. ESRO, which is responsible for space research and construction of scientific instruments and satellites, and ELDO, which was to build a common ESRO satellite launch vehicle.
