Georg Britting


Georg Josef Britting (born February 17, 1891 in Regensburg, April 27, 1964 in Munich) is a German poet, storyteller and novelist. He came from the clerical family. After completing his studies as a volunteer, he enlisted in the army and fought on the WWII front as an officer.

Since 1920 he lived in Munich where he devoted exclusively to creative work. His pen, among others, came out:

Britting's verses were honored in the Third Reich, although his works were considered in terms of the so-called. Heimatliteratur.
