Wicklow Mountains National Park

Wicklow Mountains National Park (Irish: Páirc Náisiúnta Shléibhte Cill Mhantáin) is a national park in the eastern part of Ireland, founded in 1991. Initially it was 3700 ha of mountainous terrain around Glendalough, including the Glendalough Forest Nature Reserve. Subsequently, the area of the park was enlarged to about 20,000 ha, including the bog areas of Liffey Head Bog and Lugnaquilla. Parks are protected within the park, peat bogs, rare species of flora and fauna, and the cultural landscape of the Glendalough Valley.

There are plans to extend the boundaries of the park to cover more parts of the Wicklow Mountains.
