Rudolf Ryba v. Schmidt, ps. "Rudek", "Kulawy", "Korczyński" (born July 5, 1913, died 1942) - Commander of the ZZZ Sanok Circuit from April 1940 to January 29, 1942. Officer of the Infantry, p. He graduated in high school in Drohobych in 1931. He participated in the September 1939 campaign in 74 ranks from Lubliniec. He took part in the conspiracy of SZP / ZWZ in Cracow.

In January 1940 the District Command of the ZWZ in Cracow was sent to Podkarpacie, where he assumed the position of deputy commander of the Jaslo ZWZ Inspectorate. Acting energetically at the command of the inspector, S. Pieńkowski, organized organizational structures of the ZWZ in the area of ​​the area. Brzozów. At the end of April 1940 he was appointed commander of the ZZZ Sanok Circuit. At the same time he expanded the ZWZ in Brzozów, where, from his recommendation, the inspector entrusted the function of the commander of the Zrzesze Area Brzozów Cpt. st. I. Wanicowi ps. "How is". In Sanok under the name of conspirator Rudolf Schmidt worked as an official in the local Arbeitsamt. In the period of commanding the circuit of Sanok, ZWZ organized a staff of the circuit and a network of field outlets. He initiated the organization of the ZWZ skeletal platoon in the area. He cooperated with a metastatic network directed by J. Rybicki. He helped in obtaining accommodation for the people who had been transferred and for material help. In 1940 he made contact with Major. W. Fruit from NOW and talked to him about merging NOW with the ZWZ, but with no result. He also organized intelligence work on subordinate areas.

In January 1942, there were treason and mass arrests on the premises of the inspectorate. Arrested by the Gestapo on March 10, 1942 or January 29, 1942. After a heavy investigation into the Sanctuary, the Gestapo was taken to the Auschwitz concentration camp where he was assassinated in 1942. Bibliography
